Doveres
Doveres is the capital and most populous city of the Minston Republics, the Republic of Minston, and Dové.
History
Prehistory and antiquity
Middle Ages
Renaissance
In the 1300s, Doveres led Minstos in a new architectural style, favoring enormous stone structures.
Early modern
Late modern and contemporary
In the early 1600s, the city was a horrible place to live. During the Grand War, airships bomb Doveres and the city came crumbling down, with people fleeing up the river. After the Grand War, reconstruction began, this time favoring a more traditional city. The entire city was planned out, and most of central Doveres was rebuilt by the 1670s, while the outlying areas took even as long as the 1720s. Although Doveres still has its share of problems, its a much cleaner and safer place to live. The settlement up river eventually formed into a small industrial town.
Grand War
As Ferrudon and Great Aerum approached Doveres, airships bombed the city causing the enormous structures to collapse, killing several hundred thousand people. The survivors moved up the river. Doveres was rebuilt in the years following the war.

Vacuum Waste Disposal
Implemented into Doveres in the mid 1610s. Installed into homes like water pipes and electricity. Vacuum outlets can be plugged into by devices that use the vacuum. All the pipes lead to a local VVI (Vacuum Waste Incinerator) which burns all waste picked up by the vacuum. Many uses can be used inside the home by the vacuum such as disposal of food or other waste, cleaning floors, and cleaning clothes.
Pneumatic Tubes
Using the vacuum technology, a pneumatic tube system was set up to send mail directly to a recipient's home. Apartment complexes have boxes for residents.
Mail is processed at the NPO (National Pneumatic Outpost) where people transfer mail through pipes. Each city has an NPO that connects to the province branch or even the republic branch for any non-local mail. So if someone from Doveres, Dové, Minston wanted to transfer mail to someone in Revand, Amos, Warjan, their mail would travel from Doveres to the Dové branch to the Minston branch to the Warjan branch to the Amos branch to the Revand branch and then to the recipient. There are pneumatic tube dropoffs throughout cities.
