In the early 1600s, the city was a horrible place to live. During the Grand War, airships bomb Doveres and the city came crumbling down, with people fleeing up the river. After the Grand War, reconstruction began, this time favoring a more traditional city. The entire city was planned out, and most of central Doveres was rebuilt by the 1670s, while the outlying areas took even as long as the 1720s. Although Doveres still has its share of problems, its a much cleaner and safer place to live. The settlement up river eventually formed into a small industrial town. | |||
